Medium Voltage equipment for St Gobain’s future headquarters in La Défense

Project

Measuring 165m tall, the M2 Tower will host the future headquarters of St Gobain in Courbevoie by 2019-2020.

Designed by the Valode et Pistre architectural firm, this 38-floor glass tower will showcase the group’s international reach and its expertise. Future-focused and featuring sustainable design, the building will comply with applicable environmental standards. Each section will feature a garden, designed to bring well-being and greenery to the building’s occupants.

With this in mind, CAHORS equipment was ordered by our customer and partner ENGIE, who is involved in this project:

  • 11 HV/LV transformers and 1 dry-type zero sequence generator due to it being a high-rise building
  • 1 HVA supply substation, type: Grany
  • 1 HVA substation power unit, type: Grany
  • 3 HVA transformer substations, type: Grany

ENGIE chose CAHORS because the company was looking for a reliable partner capable of working with all of the site’s medium voltage equipment within a very short turnaround time.
