Ground-breaking success for CAHORS in river navigation!

Context and customer requierement

The small town of Caudebec-en-Caux on the banks of the Seine is a quaint stopover for cruise ships, and the town plans to further develop river tourism.

Cruise travellers enjoy the calm of the town and its geographical location for excursions to Honfleur or to D-Day landing beaches. Caudebec-en-Caux therefore decided to modernise its equipment and improve the services available to river vessels while also addressing environmental concerns.

CAHORS solutions

Supplied Equipment

CAHORS delivered its first power transformer substation for supplying power to river cruise ships, thereby meeting the environmental constraints posed by the community by eliminating the use of turbines causing excessive diesel consumption and noise pollution during stops.

Solution advantages

French manufacturing with tailored service, personalised follow-up and on-time delivery are all assets that convinced Duval Électricité to trust the teams at CAHORS.

A preferred partnership with Legrand led to the success of this project, which is expected to continue.
